impromptu field trip

we went out to lunch at Beeps this afternoon as a family and then the hubby decided to take us here:



he had been wanting to go to see this exhibit:

he is in a car club called Lifestyle Car Club and a few members and the owner have their cars on display at the exhibit so he wanted to go and see the other cars at the exhibit so we all went for fun.

in addition to the La Vida Lowrider exhibit, the kids LOVED these ones:

the Cars exhibit was all about the making of the movie- super cool stuff!

hot wheels history- do you know that someone bought a hot pink hot wheels van for $72,000!!!!!!! INSANITY!!!!!!!

super fun stuff from hollywood movies! kids loved the stuff from batman.

just super sexy rides in this exhibit. new and old.

this one was just interesting to see the future of our automotive industry. i am usually not super into this stuff but it was fun to learn some new information and see how the museum used local schools (middle and high schools) and i mean REALLY local to do so investigating on the subject.

not a planned event, and a bit hard to get through with the recovery process- got really exhausted towards the end, but a good day with the family. if you are bored forthe day you should go- and if you have little ones, the 3rd floor is just for them! they can run and play!
