I'm Back...

i had a nice break from reality.

went to my mercyme concert.

spent some time in laguna beach and saw pageant of the masters.

spent some time with my sister and my brother with their families.


got home and even managed to do a layout. it is good to be home though. i missed my babies.

Friday Night Challenge Completed!

Loved this challenge over at the Sketchbook where we had to use up our old supplies- stuff that we have had for over a year. Well, 75% of the layout had to be that way anyway. Here is mine.

Look Bucket!!!! I did it!

ughhhh! i cannot upload any pics for some reason. but really, i did it!

the other day i went over to bucket's house and she taught me how to put an overlay onto my photo and today i did it all by myself! no cheat sheet or anything!!! completely by memory! oh la la!



my daughter wants to be a model! she is so funny. literally, she wants me to take her places so that she can model. today, she asked me to take her pictures and i started to talk to her about how i really really really want my foxy friend Araxi to photogragh her because i have no idea what i am doing! she is all ready! she thought it could happen tomorrow. i told her that i would save up for it and set a date with Araxi so i better get my butt in gear. i just hope she is okay with modeling for mom for awhile. i have no plans of turning her over to the modeling agency- but lets just keep that between you and me! a girl can hope, right?

Friday Night Challenge- Done!

This has to be my favorite Friday Night challenge yet over at The Sketch Book becasue it made me giggle remember simple moments that only I had the pleasure of sharing with Aidan (okay okay, one I had to share with his mommy!). He really is such a funny little man. He has such a serious tone, but through his use of language, oh- this kid just has me rolling! See for yourself...

this story was told to me while we were swimming.

this story was told to me at my mom's kitchen table. i was asking him a bunch of questions about his first year of school and how he liked it now that it was over.this was on the 4th of July when he stepped into about 1,000,000 black ants! you might have had to be here for this one but it still makes me almost pee just thinking about it! plus, you just have to know him. this is the kid that doesn't even let you get away with saying something is "stupid"
so, there you go. you got a little fix of Aidan!

tennis anyone?

emily and junior took their first tennis lesson yesterday at my mom's country club. the instructor was amazing and they had a GREAT experience! they will have three more lessons and then we will see what happens after that. i know NOTHING about tennis- i mean, not one single rule, so it is much different soccer. just nice to sit back and watch them having FUN!!!!

*****Since my daughter knows me so well she could tell that i wasn't crazy about her haircut so I took advantage of Megan's website and the wonderful friday night challenge she had for this weekend (6/20/08) to show off emily's summer hair!!!! hopefully this will help her realize that i love her, with or without long hair!
