First Holy Commumion and 6th Year Anniversary

Today my daughter had her First Holy Communion and my husband and I (miraculously) celebrated our 6th year wedding anniversary. The day started out early. We woke up and went to get Emily's hair done at Atomic Hair in North Hollywood by my lovely lovely Raymond. When that was all done, she let out a squel because she loved it so much.

I love Raymond. He has done my hair for a very long time (over 10 years now) and today he surprised me by doing Emily's hair for free. What a wonderful spirit he is. He loves her so much. The think I love the most is that 6 years ago today, on this exact day, he was doing my hair for my wedding. He opened the salon just for Emily today, did her hair beautifully, and did it out of the goodness of his heart because he loves her that much. And we love him!

After that, we gathered at the church--- so many people just for this little angel. Me, Luis, Grandma Kimmy, Amber, John, Aidan, Tristan, Michael, Mileny, Mikey, Abigail, Rebecca, Armando, Junior, Armandito, Celeste, Mirta, Rosa, Debbie, and many more. The mass began and Emily received her Sacrament. She even spoke in front of the entire congregation when she prayed for the government and the world leaders, especially our president---which I especially loved!

We stayed for a bit and took some pictures and then we went our separate ways. My family went out to lunch and Emily went with her other set for the remainder of the day.

On the Wedding Anniversary Note:
Luis and I spent the rest of the day enjoying each other's company. It is interesting. I am surpised when I think that we have been together for over 9 years. Those that truly know us know that it has not been easy. It will most likely never be easy. Only time will tell. For now, 6 down, many more to go......
