update my blog huh!?

my friend bucket left me a comment to update my blog and then i went onto my foxy board and toni is outing all of us non-blogger bloggers so i guess its time i put in some blog time!

i am currently on spring break and guess what i am doing! LAUNDRY! so all of you who are jealous of teachers because we get a week off, don't fret! we are all doing laundry!

i am training for the Rock N'Roll marathon in San Diego on June 4th. I have to raise $1000 more dollars. i am hoping to get at least $600 more and then if i have to put in the rest on my own, i'm okay with that. i let bucket talk me into doing the marathon! i was jealous when i heard her talking about it and so i signed up. at first i thought, what the hell am i thinking but now i am doing really well! i have ran almost 16 miles. that is my longest distance yet. but the great part is now i can do 5 miles so easily. at first, that was hard. the people with team in training are SUPER nice. my mentor barbara and my running savior is gayla. with bucket being injured and crystle being unable to attend all the long runs, i have really enjoyed getting to know GAYLA. she is a huge help! i wouldn't be doing so well if i didn't have her guidance. you can find out more at

family life is crazy. luis and i are actually very strong right now which is nice becuase we have our moments!!! the kids are great. junior turns 11 tomorrow which i cannot believe! emily is a trip! that girl keeps me on my toes thats for sure! we are going back to court over visitation and child support so that always makes for interesting moments with the ex but all should be fine. we just need to fix a few things and hopefully all goes peacefully. luis has been really trying to be a better man but this is one area where it typically gets the best of him. he has a hard time taking responsibility for his part in the legal issues. pray for us.

i am becoming more active at work which i hope helps me in the long run. i am good at what i do and i love my students and i have learned that if i just sit back, they will not get what they need. it is forcing me to step on a few toes which is not my favorite thing to do in the workplace but i have decided that my student are more important.
